Footprints in snow lead DSP to armed robbery suspect in Dover

A Dover man is facing armed robbery charges charges, after Police say footprints in the snow literally led them to a suspect in a knife-point robbery.
Delaware State Police say on Sunday around 2:40 PM, a 58-year-old man was leaving the Royal Farms on West Lebanon Road, after using the ATM. According to the report, as the 58-year-old started to open the driver’s side door of his car, a man walked up to him, armed with a knife, and demanded money from him. Police say the victim took a few steps back, before the suspect physically took the cash from the victim’s hand, and ran towards Lebanon Road. The victim was apparently uninjured in the incident.
A description of the suspect was broadcast to Troopers in the area, and one apparently noticed someone matching the description of the suspect running near the Stone Ridge Development. Police say the Trooper then parked his patrol vehicle, and started walking where he had seen the suspect run, and noticed a single set of footprints leading to a house in the development. The Trooper then apparently knocked on the door, and was informed by a woman inside that her son had just run into the house moments before.
Police say the Trooper then arrested 48-year-old Dominic Boston, during which a black pocket knife was found in his pants pocket along. The clothing Boston had just been wearing, was apparently also found, stored in the laundry room where he ran to.
Boston was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with robbery first degree, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He was then ordered to be held on a $40,000 bond at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
