A fisherman was air-lifted from a boat off New Jersey, to a Berlin hospital on Thursday. The United States Coast Guard says the 43-year-old man was fishing with three other people, on an 80-foot fishing boat Starbrite, about 75 miles southeast of Cape May, New Jersey.

He apparently started having difficulty breathing, and numbness of his extremities. Officials say Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay in Philadelphia, got the initial notification around 8:30 AM.

A helicopter crew from the Coast Guard Air Station in Atlantic City, New Jersey, arrived on scene around 11:00 AM. They say they then hoisted the man up, and took him to Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Maryland.
