Driver dies following crash in Seaford

The driver involved in a serious crash in Seaford earlier in January, has died from her injuries.

Delaware State Police say 32-year-old Jennifer Ayon, of Seaford, died on Monday, for injuries sustained in a crash on Greenbriar Road on January 15.

According to the report, Ayon was driving a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, just before midnight, near Greenbriar Way, where for unknown reason the SUV drove off the road, where it hit a tree, before stopping in a ditch. Police say Ayon wasn’t wearing a seat belt during the crash.

She was then rushed to Christiana Hospital, where she later died. The investigation into the crash is reportedly continuing by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
