Dover Police Dept. evacuated following a bomb threat

Members of the Dover Police Department have confirmed an all-clear after a bomb threat was called into their building around 5:17 P.M. Thursday.

Corporal Mark Hoffman tells 47 ABC the call was received through the 911 center, which then began transferring calls to the Kent County Department of Public Safety.

According to Dover PD, the scene was cleared in about an hour with assistance from members of the Delaware State Police and Delaware Capitol Police K-9 Units.

As of about 6:45 P.M., folks were re-entering the building.

This is just one of two bomb threats called into law enforcement buildings Thursday. Members of the Ocean City Police Department also say they received a bomb threat, and all occupants inside the Ocean City Public Safety Building were evacuated.

47 ABC will bring you more on this as details come in.
