Dover man accused in baseball bat home invasion and assault

A Dover man is facing charges, after Police say he broke into a house, and assaulted someone with a baseball bat.
Dover Police say on Thursday morning, around 9:30, 22-year-old Kwan Redding, broke the sliding glass door of a home on Madison Court, with a baseball bat. Police say, once Redding was inside, he assaulted a family member with the bat, leaving them with serious injuries.
Redding was apparently arrested by arriving officers, and charged with home invasion, assault first degree, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, and criminal mischief. He was then ordered to be held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $60,100 secured bond.
Police say the 28-year-old victim was treated at Kent General Hospital, and released.
