Delaware police ID woman killed in hit-and-run

(AP) – Delaware State Police are identifying a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash near an Interstate 95 on-ramp earlier this week.
Police announced Friday morning that the woman killed in the crash has been identified as 21-year-old Michelle Rivera of Bear.
The crash occurred Tuesday morning on northbound state Route 1 in Newark near the northbound I-95 on-ramp. Police say Rivera was attempting to cross Route 1 or walking in the right lane when she was hit by an unknown number of vehicles. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say none of the vehicles involved stayed on the scene. Police say evidence left at the scene suggests that one vehicle that hit her was a Volvo S60 sedan or V60 hatchback.
The crash remains under investigation.
