Del. troopers investigating serious car wreck

Delaware troopers are investigating a serious car wreck that left a cyclist in critical condition.
Police say a 40-year-old cyclist was attempting to cross a median on Bay Road just south of Tub Mill Road in Frederica on Saturday evening when he was struck by a Toyota Camry. A Jeep Wrangler, traveling about two car lengths behind the Toyota, swerved to avoid hitting the cyclist, flipped over and came to rest in a yard on the west side of the roadway.
The cyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was airlifted to a local hospital where he’s in critical condition.
The driver of the Jeep was not properly restrained and was taken to a hospital and released with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Camry was uninjured.
