Damage reports requested from Sussex Co. residents

Starting Tuesday, Sussex County residents were able to begin submitting reports of damage to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) following this past weekend’s winter nor’easter.
That valuable information will reportedly be used in the future for disaster response.
Officials with the EOC say they must have the reports collected within the next thirty days.
The damage must be a direct result of the storm between Friday and Sunday. We’re told businesses and primary residences are eligible but seasonal homes are not.
All of the information collected will be shared with the Delaware Emergency Management Agency. It will be then used for consideration toward any future federal disaster assistance.
Residents can submit information by calling 302-856-7366.
