Centreville woman charged after Easton crash

Police in Easton say a Centreville woman has been charged, after he caused a crash.

Maryland State Police say on Tuesday around 7:50 AM, Troopers from the Easton barrack responded to Route 50 eastbound, at Rabbit Hill Road, for reports of a two vehicle crash.

Investigators say their preliminary investigation showed that 29-year-old Meredyth Croteau was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer, when she hit the back of a 2005 Nissan SUV. Police say Croteau didn’t control her speed, in an attempt to avoid the collision.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Easton Memorial Hospital, for precautionary measures, while Croteau and her 5-year-old passenger refused treatment from responding EMS.

Croteau was charged with failure to control speed to avoid a collision.
