Cambridge SD Stays Red Hot, Top Rival Easton

The Cambridge SD boys basketball team won their 8th straight game Thursday night when they traveled to play rival Easton and came away with a 54-45 win. The win improves the Vikings to 9-2, while the loss drops the Warriors to 6-6.

The Vikings would jump out to a nice lead after Dre Greene was able to get a couple buckets in transition. Then once the Warriors were able to force them to play half court, Michael Richardson would find his offensive rhythm and he would add a couple shots off the drive, as well as knock down a couple threes. Easton would go on a run though, led by their sophomore guard Ryan Farr. He would connect on a few long balls of his own, while also showing the ability to put the ball on the ground and get to the basket. The Vikings continued to show off their balance though as they would get contributions from several other pieces as well, including Naail Thompson and Ivan Taylor. They would build a double digit lead and be able to close it out for their first win over their rival in 2008.

Easton returns to work Tuesday when they host St. Michaels while
