Building heavily damaged in Milford fire

Officials are investigating after a fire heavily damaged a Milford bed and breakfast on Saturday evening.
According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the blaze on the 100 block of Northwest Front Street was reported around 7:30 p.m. at the Towers Bed and Breakfast.
We’re told the Carlisle Fire Company arrived on the scene to find an empty three-story dwelling engulfed in flames.
Michael Chionchio, an assistant state fire marshal, tells 47ABC an initial investigation reveals the fire erupted on the exterior of the structure when a vehicle reportedly struck propane gas lines feeding the building.
According to Chionchio, the vehicle fled from the scene as flames spread from the fractured gas lines.
Heavy fire damage is estimated at $50,000.
There were no reported injuries.
