BB gun found at Wicomico Middle School

School Officials in Wicomico County say they found a BB gun on school property on Friday.

The Wicomico County Public Schools says an empty BB gun was found on the property of Wicomico Middle School, at the beginning of the day. Officials say staff members became aware that there was a BB gun on campus, and Wi Middle’s school resource officer from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and school officials, the searched the area.

Around 9:20 AM, the empty BB gun was found on top of a trailer outside of the school. Officials clarify that the BB gun was not loaded and had not been used to threaten anyone.

Any students who are found to have been involved with the BB gun being at the school, will apparently be disciplined according to the Code of Conduct. The investigation is reportedly continuing.
