Balanced Effort Paces Jags Past Mardela

The Washington boys basketball team earned a home win on Tuesday afternoon when they defeated Mardela 87-39. The win improves the Jaguars to 8-4, while the loss drops the Warriors to 1-11.

The Jaguars would jump out to a monster lead led by Montraz Oliver and Tyler Paulson who would both find success scoring. The lead would quickly grow to over 20 as the home team would be clicking on all cylinders. The Warriors continued to battle as Caleb Corbin would be able to give his team a slight scoring boost, but the Jags kept on coming. Washington would add the exclamation mark in the second half after Josh Sproul would get a steal, and get the first dunk of his career at the other end. His team would roll to the win from there.

Washington returns to work Thursday when they host Wi-Hi, while Mardela travels to Snow Hill on Thursday.
