AR-15 and heroin reportedly found during Seaford traffic stop, three arrested

A traffic stop in Seaford on New Year’s Day, reportedly led to the arrest of three adults, and a teen.

Seaford Police say on Friday around 9:40 AM, Officers on patrol watched a white Lexus, commit a traffic violation, and pulled it over in the Uncle Willies parking lot on Stein Highway. During the stop, they found that the driver, 23-year-old Carl Lewis, of Lincoln, had a suspended driver’s license.

Police say they then had all three of the vehicle’s occupants get out, and searched the Lexus. That search reportedly revealed 2 handguns, an AR-15, along with ammunition. Officers also apparently seized drug paraphernalia, $1,171 in cash, and 14 baggies of heroin.

Police say they then arrested Lewis, along with 22-year-old Tijere Baldwin, and a 14-year-old Bridgeville boy. All three were reportedly charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, conspiracy, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, unlawfully loaded firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lewis was additionally charged with numerous traffic charges, and held on a $13,150 bond at the Sussex Correctional Institute. Baldwin and the 14-year-old were additional charged with possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited.

Baldwin, who also was charged with possession of heroin, is now being held at SCI in a $151,250 bond, while the teen was ordered to be held at the Stevenson House in an $85,400 bond.
