A bomb threat was reportedly called into a Delaware middle school on Tuesday morning.

The Cape Henlopen School District announced on their Facebook page on Tuesday morning around 10:00 AM, that a bomb threat had been called into Beacon Middle School. The building was then apparently secured by administration and staff, while Delaware State Police searched.

Officials stated in a second post, at approximately 10:30 AM, that the State Police had searched the school, and deemed it safe. Students and staff have now returned to the school, to resume normal activities.

The School District asked parents in their initial posted, to not to go to the school, to avoid unnecessary traffic.
