AAA: Md. drivers paying $1.93 per gallon

Motorists in Maryland are paying 4 cents less at the pump when compared with a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic said Friday in a report that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Maryland was $1.93, down from $1.97 a week ago.

The price of gas in the state is the same as the national average.

The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in cities around the state includes $1.91 in Baltimore, $1.90 in Cumberland, $1.97 in Hagerstown and $1.79 in Salisbury.

Motorists in the state are paying 32 cents less per gallon than at this time last year when the average price of a gallon of regular gas was $2.25 per gallon.
