1,300+ bags of heroin seized in Dover, three arrested

21-year-old Jamichael Peck, of Dover, 22-year-old Shakkiah Bodine, of Dover, and 43-year-old Leondrei Prince, of Wilmington, Del.

Three people have been arrested on drug charges, after Police say they were found with more than 1,300 bags of heroin.

Dover Police say on Thursday around 5:05 PM, during a drug investigation, the Street Crimes Unit and Probation and Parole officers noticed 21-year-old Jamichael Peck, of Dover, 22-year-old Shakkiah Bodine, of Dover, and 43-year-old Leondrei Prince, of Wilmington, on the corner of New and Reed Streets.

According to the report, Peck tried to walk away, and threw a bag of marijuana and heroin, as Officers arrived. Police say they then arrested all three. In total, Officers reportedly recovered a total of 1390 bags of heroin weighing 20.85 grams on Bodine and Peck, while Peck also apparently had 2.2 grams of marijuana on him. Investigators say Prince had .4 grams of crack cocaine on him.

After his arrest, Peck was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin -tier 5 quantity, conspiracy 2nd degree, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and violation of probation. He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correction Center on a $44,150 secured bond.

Bodnie was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin -tier 5 quantity, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin -tier 5 quantity, conspiracy 2nd degree, after her arrest. She was then ordered to be held on a $102,100 secured bond at the Baylor Correctional Center.

Prince was held at the JTVCC on a $1,000 secured bond on possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and local fugitive charges.
