Worcester Prep boys outlast Delmarva Christian

The Worcester Prep boys basketball team lost a nice lead late in the third quarter, only to complete a comeback to take down Delmarva Christian 39-34 in Georgetown.

Tucker Brown led the charge for Prep, scoring a game-high 19 points, including 12 when the Mallards needed them most, in the fourth quarter. Owen Nally filled up the stat sheet, netting 6 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, and 7 steals, before fouling out midway thru the fourth quarter.

The Mallards held a 10-2 lead after one quarter, but got cold from the field, only going up 14-12 at the half. The Royals would take their first lead late in the third quarter off a Micah Magee (13 points) layup.  After a 3 pointer from Aaron Mollock, the Royals had completed a comeback and gone up 7 points, before leading 25-22 after 3 quarters.

In the fourth, Brown came alive to the tune of 12 points, including 2 triples, and 2 key free throws down the stretch. The loss gives Delmarva Christian their first conference loss this season.
