Wic. Co., Salisbury show positive job growth numbers

Job growth is booming in Salisbury, in turn helping Wicomico County citizens get back to work.

That’s according to a recent report.

Mayor Jake Day tells us that Wicomico County is the only county south of the Bay Bridge adding jobs.

He says 93% of those jobs cited in the increase are within the city of Salisbury.

“The biggest contributing factor is one, the national recovery. Things are getting better now nationally and so, we’re benefiting from that.”

Mayor Day says that city investments in things like the arts, entrepreneurship, parks and rec, and other events are the key for continued growth.
