Wi-Hi Girls Basketball Earn Road Win at Washington

The Wi-Hi girls basketball team earned a road win Tuesday when they traveled to Washington and pulled out a 62-37 win. The win improves the Indians to 3-2, while the Jaguars fall to 1-3.
The Tribe came out with a full court press and forced the Jaguars into several turnover. Once that happened, the Indians transition offense got going, giving easy buckets to Kakiaha Wright, Marissa Taylor-James and Jazymn Moye-Watson who all had nice games. Washington would go on a small run, led by their freshman Danasia Roberts who finished with a team high 21 points to go along with 11 rebounds. They began the second half stringing along a couple buckets, but eventually the press would take over for the Indians, and they would close it out for the win.
Washington returns to work Thursday when they host Decatur, while Wi-Hi host Snow Hill on Friday.
