Washington Boys Coast Past Mardela

The Washington boys basketball team collected a bounce back win Tuesday night when they defeated Mardela 77-29. The win improves the Jaguars to 4-2, while the loss drops the Warriors to 0-6.

Washington jumped out to a monster lead as Jordan Sterling routinely attacked the rim for easy baskets. Once he got going, Montraz Oliver would get a couple transition buckets, and then Tyler Paulson would add a few himself. The Warriors would fight back for a couple buckets as Tyler McCoy would be able to get a couple buckets to drop. The Jags though weren’t going to let them back into the game, as they were able to empty they bench in the second half, and get contributions from Josh Sproul and Rashawn Fitzgearld.

Mardela and Washington return to work next when they compete in the Governor’s Challenge.
