Warriors come up short against Cobras

The Easton Warriors dropped their second Governor’s Challenge game on Monday afternoon, dropping a close game to Harford Tech 57-54 at Wicomico High School.

A close game throughout, Easton led 27-26 at the half and 35-33 after three. In the fourth, the Warriors were outscored 24-19, as the Cobras jumped out to their largest lead of the game of eight points, with just two minutes remaining. Easton was able to stay in the game as Ryan Farr’s potential game-tying three point attempt went awry, as Harford Tech was able to hold on.

Cobras’ junior guard Darius Dangerfield scored his 1,000th career point on a layup late in the third quarter and finished with a game-high 24 points. Forward Jawaun Lucas finished with 18 points off the bench for Tech. Jack Wheatley led Easton with 18 points.
