UPDATE: Bullet proof vest wearing fugitive sentenced for Dorchester Co. Murder

Deshaune Darling, of Salisbury, MD

A Salisbury man who was convicted of murder in Dorchester County back in September, has now been sentenced.

On Monday, Deshaune Darling was sentenced to life in prison for a first degree murder charge, for the August 2014 murder of Radames Guzman, whose body was found in the Linkwood area. He had been reported missing about three weeks earlier.

Darling also received a consecutive life sentence for conspiracy to commit first degree murder, a consecutive sentence of 20 years for use of a firearm in a felony or crime of violence, and a consecutive sentence of 30 years for the kidnapping charge. In total, Darling was sentenced to serve two consecutive life terms in prison, along with an additional 50 years of imprisonment, which is to be served consecutively to the life terms, which will be served consecutively to his sentence from Wicomico County.

Darling is serving a 30 year sentence there, after being convicted back in May of charges related to a police chase through three Eastern Shore counties, during which Darling wore a bullet proof vest, and was found armed with a .40 caliber handgun.

In Kent County Delaware, he was also apparently convicted of drug charges.
