The question is how much for Salisbury’s fire services?

The city of Salisbury and Wicomico county are one step closer to working out an agreement for the services provided by the city’s fire department according Mayor Jake Day.
Day says the city and county have preliminarily agreed to hire a firm called Tri Data out of Arlington, Va. to determine just how much the services of the city’s fire department are worth.
The appraisal would cost $30,000–with the cost being split evenly between the city and the council.
“Ultimately how do we get to a figure that addresses that original question, that original concern which is, we have an injustice here, we have an inequity, we have certain taxpayers paying for a service and getting it and the other tax payers getting the same service, but not paying for it,” Day said.
Day says the city council and county council will have to approve the amendment to their 2016 budgets before the agreement becomes official.
Once done. Day says it would take Tri Data two to three months to finish their appraisal.
