SU Women’s Basketball Tops Penn St.-Harrisburg

The Salisbury University women’s basketball team was back in action Wednesday night when they squared off against conference opponent Penn St.-Harrisburg, pulling out a 65-55 win. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 6-1 (3-0 CAC) on the year.

The teams would be in a close battle before the Sea Gulls used a 22-8 second quarter to create some separation going into half time. The Lions would make a run in the second half but it wasn’t enough to overcome SU’s big lead. Julia McLaughlin finished with 18 points to go along with 12 rebounds to lead the Sea Gulls, while Lauren Rothfeld added 14 points and Morgan Grubb added 10.

Salisbury returns to work Saturday when they travel to play at Washington College.
