Somerset Co. Emergency Services director passes

Somerset County Emergency Services director Steve Marshall has passed, according to county officials.

Marshall, 60, had reportedly been battling cancer.

The county’s emergency services agency posted the announcement on their Facebook page on Sunday morning. They say Marshall was not only their leader, but their friend.

He was described as a champion for emergency services, always going “all out” to find a way to assist fire, EMS and police services.

We’re told Marshall had served as director of Somerset County Emergency Services for 24 years.
