Snow Hill Runs By Bennett

The Snow Hill boys basketball team earned another conference win Tuesday night when they defeated Bennett 78-50. The win improves the Eagles to 4-2, while the loss drops the Clippers to 0-6.

The Eagles jumped out to a quick lead after DJ Thornton found his shooting touch, connecting on a couple mid range jumpers and lay ins. After he gave them the initial lead, Snow Hill would get out in the open court, scoring a transition buckets from Takhai Wise, Amonty Allen & Ameer Fisher. The lead would quickly swell to double digits. The Clippers would try and fight their way back into the game as Otis Russel would be able to connect on a couple jumpers, but it was never enough to get back completely in the game.

Snow Hill returns to work Tuesday in the Governor’s Challenge, while Bennett get their tournament started on Saturday.
