Snow Hill Girls Survive Scare Late vs. Bennett

The Snow Hill girls basketball team picked up a big conference win Tuesday when they edged Bennett 45-44. The win improves the Eagles to 2-4, while the loss drops the Clippers to 2-4.

The teams would exchange baskets through the first 3 quarters as Bennett would take a 1 point lead into the 4th. There, Snow Hill would grab the lead after a short jumper was made by Hannah Andrews. The Clippers would look for the game winning basket as they bought the ball up with under 10 seconds to play. After calling timeout, they would run a baseline drive for Brianna Brown who would just miss on her floater. The follow would be off the mark too as the Eagles would be able to hold on for the win. Hanna Andrews finished with a team high 15 points for Snow Hill, while Dishon Wise added 12 points and Dajsai Shockley had 7 points. Breanna Hall lead the Clippers with 23 points.

Both teams return to work next when they compete in the Governor’s Challenge.
