SBA reopens filing period for loans for Sandy damage

The Small Business Administration has reopened the application filing period for low-interest disaster for damage from Superstorm Sandy.

The SBA and the Maryland Emergency Management Agency said in news releases on Friday that businesses and residents of Maryland’s lower Eastern Shore and Sussex County in Delaware can apply for loans for physical and economic losses. Superstorm Sandy battered the East Coast in October 2012.

The affected counties in Maryland are Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester. The news deadline to apply is Dec. 1, 2016.

Applicants may apply online using via the SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
