Salisbury police officers spread the joy

You may be planning a Christmas dinner with family and friends, but some people are not that lucky.
That’s why on Christmas Eve morning, one local police station was trying to spread the joy for Christmas.
The Salisbury Police Department delivered gifts to local residents to help 56 children and 18 families.
The program, called “Cops for Kids,” partnered along with Toys For Tots, Wicomico Board of education and countless other citizens.
Captain Rich Kaiser says its good for the police to help those in need.
“It’s a great tool that we use for community policing that is very strong for the relationships of the community and police department and we’re going to continue it for years on end,” he says.
