Ride safely on New Year’s Eve

2016 is almost here if you can believe it and for folks out there planning to do a bit drinking Thursday night, please do not drive.

There are plenty of ways to get around without getting behind the wheel. For folks in the Salisbury area, Shore Transit is operating within their normal schedule, but will be providing free rides.

47 ABC checked out yellow pages and found there to be seventeen cab companies listed. There’s also Uber, a ride sharing service operated through an app.

However, during times of high demand Uber enacts surge pricing which charges a multiplier on every fare during busy times.

But as a rider, you do have to accept those higher rates before being connected with a driver. If those don’t work, call a family member or friend to pick you up.
