Lakorya Harrison of North Carolina and Joshua Knox of Georgia are in custody after their credit scheme got declined.

Police say the suspects would enter the different Tanger Outlet stores and make purchases or attempt to make purchases on items using victims’ account numbers.

Officials say Harrison and another woman entered the store and made a $440.00 purchase using a pre-paid American Express credit card and just minutes later, attempted to make a $380.00 purchase on the same card.

“They tried to make another purchase about 8 minutes later for a larger denomination and the credit card was denied,” says Corporal Gary Fournier.

Moments later, Delaware State Police tell 47 a-b-c that Harrison exited a store and began walking toward the parked S-U-V.She was arrested by authorities.

Knox who was also in the store with Harrison tried to leave the scene and was also placed under arrest.

After a search warrant was issued police found pre-paid credit cards still in the manufacturer’s packaging, along with a laptop computer, a credit card coder/swiping device, and merchandise from various retail outlets.

All the items were recovered and returned to the store. Delaware State Police want store owners to continue to be vigilant this holiday season.

“If its a prepaid card that they should check a little further ask for ID and be wary of the shopper that is presenting the card”, says Corporal Gary Fournier.
