Prep girls get tough conference road win

Worcester Prep’s girls basketball team moved to 5-2 on the season, going on the road to defeat Delmarva Christian 45-35 on Wednesday night.

Karlie Southcomb filled up the stat sheet for the Mallards, recording 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Prep held a 19-16 lead at the half, and pulled away in the fourth quarter to seal the game.

Melissa Laws pitched in with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the Mallards. Ashlee McCoy’s scored a game-high 14 points for Delmarva Christian.
