Police: Fatal crash kills one in Wico. Co.

Police are investigating after a fatal crash claimed the life of a Delaware woman Friday afternoon.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sharptown Road near State Street on Friday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. 

An initial investigation finds a car driven by 33-year-old Ocean View Lindsay Lett swerved off the roadway into a ditch landing in the field running parallel with Sharptown Road.

Police say Lett succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

This crash remains under investigation.
