Pocomoke Girls Top Crisfield For Bounce Back Win

The Pocomoke girls basketball team earned a bounce back win Friday night when they defeated Crisfield 63-26. The Warriors improve to 4-1, while the Crabbers drop to 1-6.
Pocomoke would jump out to a quick lead as they used good passing in transition to find Dynaisha Christian and Shayla Jones for a couple quick scores. Then after the pace of the game became more of a half court set, Christian showed off her passing ability as she found Tymere DeShields for a couple shots from the outside. The lead would hit double digits before the first quarter was over, but the Crabbers continued to fight. Arielle Johnston would help handle the pressure as she found Crystal Merritt for a couple score, as well as Evyan Potter. They couldn’t keep up with the Warriors offense though as Pocomoke would find their rhythm, and cruise to the win.
Crisfield returns to action Tuesday when they host Kent County, while Pocomoke returns to work Monday when they travel to Stephen Decatur to take on the Seahawks.
