Pocomoke Boys Basketball Coast Past Mardela

The Pocomoke boys basketball team returned to work Tuesday night and put on a show for their home crowd when they coasted past Mardela 99-26. The win improves the Warriors to 2-0, while the loss drops the Warriors to 0-2.

Pocomoke used it’s full court press to jump out to a quick lead. Tyrone Matthews would pour  in 16 points in the first quarter as Pocomoke lead would quickly grow to double digits. Pocomoke would take a 41-4 lead after the first as Jerrick Johnson found his shooting touch as well, adding 11 in the frame. To their credit, Mardela continued to battle as Drew Owen would connect on a couple long balls. Pocomoke would put this thing away early though as they got contributions from nearly everyone on the bench on their way to the win.

Pocomoke returns to work Thursday when they travel to Wi-Hi, while Mardela host Crisfield on Thursday.
