Planned Parenthood and Delaware’s Right to Life react to the Colorado Shooting

“Personally I was horrified,” says Delaware Planned Parenthood’s President and CEO Ruth Lytle Barnaby, “I was and I moved here from Colorado so I know those folks well”.

Planned Parenthood has always been at odds with pro life groups.

However the attacks at the Colorado planned parenthood have President Barnaby worried.

Three people died as a result of the shooting. Several more are still recovering.

Planned Parenthood clinics across the country kept their doors open despite the attack,
but Barnaby promises that the agency considers the well being of their employees and patients is a top priority.

“We always take our security very seriously we protect our staff and we protect our patients and provide high level security,” says Barnaby “So that anyone that comes to our facility can feel safe”.

47 ABC reached out to Delaware’s President of the Right to Life, Dave Williams who said the alleged gunman misinterpreted Pro Life’s message.

“We abhor violence he was a madman who went on a shooting rampage he has no links to the pro life movement”.

Dave Williams describes Delaware Right to Life as a peaceful organization that doesn’t condone violence.

“We do condone protesting outside abortion clinics,” says Dave Williams, “Where they are proactively killing babies inside prayer sessions for people who feel they have to kill their own child”.

“Its not okay to attack women’s healthcare,” says Williams, “Its unacceptable and wont be tolerated”.

Dave Williams, with Delaware’s Right to Life tells 47 ABC they plan to hold peaceful protests in January at the three Planned Parenthood locations in the first state for the anniversary of Roe v Wade.
