Parkside Stays Perfect, Rolls Mardela

The Parkside boys basketball team stayed perfect to open up the season as they rolled Mardela at home Wednesday 97-40. The win improves the Rams to 5-0 on the year, while the Warriors fall to 0-5.
The Rams jumped out to a quick lead as Gary Briddell exploded out of the gates. He scored 8 points in the first 2 minutes of the game as he finished with a career high 34 points. After he got going, other pieces of the Rams would find their rhythm. Paul Morgan would connect on a couple outside shots while also finishing around the rim on his way to a career high 20 points. To their credit, Mardela continued to battle. Caleb Corbin would be able to connect on a couple outside shots as he led the Warriors with 15 points. Parkside would be able to close it out for the win.
Parkside returns to work Tuesday when they host Saint Michaels, while Mardela takes on Washington on Tuesday.
