Parkside Rolls To 4-0 At Bennett

The Parkside boys basketball hit the road Wednesday night and rolled rival Bennett 84-36. The Rams improve to 4-0, while the Clippers drop to 0-4.
The Rams would jump out to a quick double digit lead as their press would force the Clippers into several turnovers, resulting in easy baskets the other way. Raequan Williams would be the main beneficiary early as he 10 of his 15 points in the first quarter. Gary Briddell then would find his rhythm as he connected on 2 long balls on his way to 8 first quarter points. Parkside would take a 26-9 lead after the first quarter. Bennett then seemed to finally settle down, as Otis Russell would string together a couple baskets to helping the Clippers cut into the deficit at halftime. But Parkside continued to steam role in the second half. Trajon Branch would attack the basket on his way to finishing with 13 points, while Tyrese Purnell would work his way into double digits as well with 11.
Bennett returns to work Thursday when they travel to Queen Anne’s, while Parkside host Mardela on Thursday.
