Ocean City named eCity award winner by Google

One eastern shore town has been recognized by tech giant Google.

Ocean City has been named the 2015 eCity of Maryland award winner. The award from Google recognizes the strongest online business community in each state.

Google reportedly worked with an independent research firm to analyze the online strength of local small businesses in cities. The city with the highest scores get the designation of a 2015 google e-city.

This is the second e-city award for Ocean City. The town first received the award from google in 2013.
