North Dorchester Wins Battle Of the Eagles

The North Dorchester boys basketball team picked up a big conference win Friday night when they defeated Snow Hill 73-63. The win improves the Eagles to 1-0, while the Snow Hill Eagles drop to 0-1. 

The teams would be in a battle the first half with Dajuan Malone leading the way for North Dorchester, but Snow Hill would be the ones taking a one point lead into the locker room. Daquan Johnson then got red hot in the 3rd quarter for the home team. He would connect on back to back and one’s, then hit two straight threes as he finished with 14 points in the frame. Snow Hill continued to battle as Ameer Fisher poured in 17 points, while Amonty Allen added 16. But North Dorchester would create some separation late as Malone continued to have his shooting touch. He finished with a game high 28 points as North Dorchester would hold on for the win.

North Dorchester returns to work Tuesday when they host Colonel Richardson, while Snow Hill travels to Parkside on Thursday.
