Monday Memo – December 7, 2015

MONDAY MEMO
TO: ALL STAFF
FROM: KATHLEEN
DATE:  7 DECEMBER 2015

47ABC carried the ceremonial lighting of the Holiday Tree live on the 47 News Hour.  The official lighting took place on the Plaza in Downtown Salisbury Friday night.  Hundreds of revelers showed up, many with children in tow, to enjoy the comradery, Christmas carols and, of course, the Tree Lighting.   The arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on the scene thrilled the kids in attendance and they followed the Holiday icons to First Shore Federal to share with Santa what they wanted for Christmas.  Thanks to First Shore Federal and Malone Farmers Insurance co-sponsored this family-friendly event.

RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE

We recognize Account Executive Kurt Herring for his significant achievements in the Sales arena.  In addition to his community service, Kurt supports his clients and their projects by personally making appearances at their events.  He has helped lead the Station’s charge into the digital era, development of new business, opening the door to advertising from the Latino community and managing his client list using the most advanced CRM (Efficio) and research sources (AdMall) that the Station offers.  A relatively new Account Executive, Kurt has demonstrated a steep learning curve and pitches all the Stations products as they best fit his individual clients’ needs and plans for growth.  His friendly, involved demeanor is praised by all.  Last, but certainly not least, Kurt consistently achieves or surpasses his assigned budgets.  Thanks, Kurt, for a job well done, we look forward to helping you reaching new heights in 2016.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TRAVON MILES

Congratulations to Travon Miles!  Travon has been promoted to Sports Anchor/ Reporter, effective the end of the year (following Angela Santoro’s exit).  Tray has been a big asset to the Sports Department and has certainly earned this opportunity.  We are excited on his behalf and looking forward to seeing him on the anchor desk more often.

THE 47 ABC HOLIDAY PARTY AT SOBO’S WAS A SUCCESS

by all accounts:  the company was engaging, the food delicious and the atmosphere
