According to Milford Police, Officers responded to the home on Lakelawn Drive, just before 1:00 AM on Friday. Police say, a witness called in saying they had just freed an elderly woman who was apparently locked in a room against her will. During the investigation police revealed 49-year-old Charles Robinson locked the victim in the room, knowing she was unable to unlock the door.
Robinson was reportedly, taken into custody and transported to the Milford Police Department. While in a holding police say, he damaged a portion of the holding area.
Police are charging Robinson with 1st degree unlawful imprisonment, and criminal mischief under $1,000. He also has a no contact order with the victim.
After failing to post a set bail of $3,000 cash Robinson was reportedly committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution. He has been scheduled for a preliminary hearing at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas later this month.
Robinson was arrested back in November, after he apparently assaulted someone who was holding a baby, while naked, outside of a home in Milford.
