Mardela Comes Up Short Against Kempsville

The Mardela basketball team squared off Saturday morning with Kempsville and the Chiefs took control of the game early.

The Chiefs scored 17 points in both the first and second quarters while the Warriors notched 2 points in the first quarter and 8 points in the second quarter. Heading into the locker rooms at halftime, Kempsvile had a 34-10 lead and they would continue to go to work on the floor in the second half.

Between 8 players, the Chiefs managed to get the 60-36 win over Mardela with Bryant Page leading the way with 20 points. The second closest game high came from Mardela’s Tyler McCoy who had a team-high dropping 17 points followed by Caleb Corbin who had 15 points.
