Local man to appear on Food Networks “World’s Worst Cook”

Ernie Adkins is a truck driver from Mardela Springs, a husband, father to four, and quite possibly the worst cook in America.  However, he is looking to change that.  He is competing on the season long show that gives $25,000 to the chef who improves most from when they walk in the door.

One of Ernie’s daughters nominated him for the show citing the only thing he could cook was frozen pizza, pancakes, and the occasional glass of water.  Adkins can’t reveal the outcome of the pre-recorded show, but he has cooked since.  His family trusted him to cook the entire Thanksgiving dinner, and they say it turned out great!

The Season 8 premiere will air on Sunday, January 3rd at 9PM on The Food Network.
