Loaded gun found during trespassing violation, one charged

Police in Dover say they arrested a Dover man, after he was found with a loaded handgun.

Dover Police say on Wednesday around 8:10 PM, their Safe Streets Unit with Probation and Parole found 21-year-old Jalen Soto in front of a house on South New Street. The spoke with him about a trespassing violation, and was taken into custody. During his arrest, Police say they found a loaded .380 handgun.

Soto was then charged with trespassing, carry concealed deadly weapon, and two counts of possession of a firearm by person prohibited. He was then ordered to be held behind bars at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, on a $40,100 cash bond.
