Jags Bounce Back With Road Win At Bennett

The Washington boys basketball team earned a bounce back win Friday night when they traveled to Bennett and pulled out a 82-50 win. The win improves the Jaguars to 2-1, while the loss drops the Clippers to 0-3.

The home crowd was fired up for this one as the Bleacher Creature made their presence felt early, and their team would respond from to their energy. Bennett would exchange buckets with the Jags, getting contributions from Matt Chrystome and Otis Russell. But Washington quickly settled in, and would go on a big run. Kamryn Somers would find his shooting touch, finishing with 17 points in the first half alone as the Jags would grab control of the game. Then once he force the defense to extend out, it freed up the paint for Tyler Paulson would who go to work on the block. The sophomore would finish with 19 points as he helped Washington take a big lead into the half. Bennett would continue to battle in the second half and finally get their offense going, but it was too little too late at that point.

Bennett returns to the court next Wednesday when they host Parkside, while Washington will travel to Wi-Hi on Tuesday.
