Information sought about Salisbury vehicle fire

The cause of a car fire in Salisbury over the weekend, is under investigation.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says on Sunday around 9:15 PM, a passerby reported a vehicle fire on South Schumaker Drive in Salisbury. Once on scene, six Salisbury firefighters reportedly found a 2015 Honda Accord up in flames.

They apparently had the flames under control in about 20 minutes. Damages are estimated at $29,500. No injuries were reported.

Investigators say the flames started inside of the front passenger compartment. The cause remains under investigation. The Fire Marshal’s Office say Maryland State Police are assisting in the investigation.
