Emmanuel Wesleyan Church features “Living Christmas Tree”

As we close in on Christmas, there is no shortage of holiday entertainment, from parades and pageants, to caroling and tree lightings.  This year Emmanuel Wesleyan Church presents “Under a Starry Sky” featuring a “living Christmas tree”

The church has put together a show every year around Christmas time for the past fifteen years and has shown growing success.  The cast is comprised of about 100 people, both young and old, and even features a few live animals.  At the center of it all is the living Christmas tree.  It is over two stories tall and can fit up to 60 choir members on it all at once.  It’s made up of over 50,000 lights that are coded to move along with the music.  A spectacle that big does not happen overnight.  Rick Jones, the media technician has put in over 150 hours of work since September, that amounts to almost a whole week straight!

The shows will be held at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church free of charge – but they do accept donations.  Showtimes are Dec 10th – 12th at 7PM and December 13th 10:30 AM matinee and a 6:30 PM show.
