Easton man arrested twice in two days for assault

An Easton man is facing charges, after he reportedly assaulted his wife, twice in two days.

Easton Police say on Saturday around 4:40 PM, Officers responded to an apartment on Talbot Lane, for reports of a domestic assault. Once on scene, Officers say they found a 50-year-old woman, who said that 57-year-old Calvin Jones, had hit her with an umbrella.

Police say they then took Jones into custody, and charged him with assault second degree. He was also given a protective order, barring him from returning to the apartment, before being released.

Police say on Sunday around 9:40 PM, Officers were called back to the Talbot Lane residence. There, Investigators say they found that Jones had returned to the home, and punched the 50-year-old victim in the face. According to the report, the victim fled the home before contacting Police.

Officers found Jones at the home, and learned that he had made his way inside through a second floor window. Jones was again arrested, and charged with burglary third degree, assault second degree, violation of protective order, failure to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest. He was then ordered to be held at the Talbot County Detention Center on a $15,000 bail.
